Each product begins with a defined nutritional or functional purpose. During development, we consider ingredient rationale, intended use, serving format and how the product may fit into a cat’s daily routine.

Product concepts and scientific rationale are also reviewed with veterinary perspective before they are presented to cat families.

What is Professor Fun-In Wang’s role?

Professor Fun-In Wang, D.V.M., Ph.D., serves as Veterinary & Scientific Advisor to Purebreds and participates in product research and development.

With an academic background in veterinary pathology, he contributes to the evaluation of product concepts, scientific rationale, intended functions and responsible product communication.

Where are Purebreds products manufactured?

Purebreds products are produced through our pet nutrition manufacturing partner in Guangzhou, China.

The manufacturing and food-safety documents shown on this website are held by the legal facility named on each document. They are presented to explain the systems associated with producing Purebreds products—not to suggest that every certificate is held directly by the Purebreds brand.

How are individual products tested?

elected Purebreds products are supported by Certificates of Analysis that document tested specifications associated with the relevant product or production lot.

The tests included may vary by formula, laboratory and lot. When a report is made available, we aim to identify clearly what was tested and which product or lot the results relate to.

Do Purebreds products replace veterinary care?

No. Purebreds products and educational materials are intended to support informed everyday care. They are not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, treatment or individualized medical advice.

Cats with persistent symptoms, diagnosed health conditions or prescription dietary needs should be supported by a veterinarian familiar with their medical history.
